biking with babies

These 2 bikes are so awesome! The Zigo can turn into a stroller and regular bike very quickly and easily.

And the Madsen bike would be so fun to ride down to the farmer's market. Very useful for cargo besides the kiddos.

sip away

We go through straws like mad at our house. The stainless steel drinking straws would be a perfect addition to the kitchen; dishwasher safe, and they'd pay for themselves after just a few months!

manhattan

Have you seen The Shabby Apple's Manhattan line?! As with everything else they produce, it's chic, and I am particularly in love with this little number.

saltwater sandals

Although I do love old school saltwater sandals for kids, I'm diggin' these new takes on an old classic!

Salt water surfer sandal at Olive Juice Kids.

fringe

I'm dreaming about wearing this fabulous fringe necklace. Dreaming, because I don't really think I could pull it off! Isn't it great though?!

sewing on my mind

Some sewing tools I found that I need. Ok, maybe I just want them. But regardless, they would make my sewing life a lot easier!

EZ bamboo pointer for turning corners right side out. Mine are usually rounded or destroyed from so much picking.

Pattern weights, because I loathe pinning patterns to fabric...it's so time consuming.

And an expanding gauge would have been nice for the buttons and button-holes I recently did.

recycled bics

Who knew an old bic pen could look so fabulous?
I am, however, not in love with the idea of bic eating utensils. See more bic projects here.

fabric flowers

Last week, I taught the girls at church how to make these for mother's day presents. Obviously we're not using them as boutonnieres as they were intended, but each girl made a bouquet of 3 to give to her mom. They turned out really cute.
the ones pictured aren't what we made, but from the website

garden time

Super cute herb markers.
It's been so lovely outside this last week that I haven't even wanted to surf the net and blog about anything I've found. Which is weird for me...but I'm just loving this spring weather and being outside!

ancestry

I'm working on one of these. You can't really tell from the picture, but it's a family tree and every little strip of paper has an ancestor's name on it. Then the little ones are marriage dates. I like how the shape of your tree is determined by the length of the names, and you can decide which way you want branches to go and so forth. Not like one of those pre-made ones that you just fill in the blanks.

has amazing paper curling skills. And I mean a. maz. ing! Click here to see more.

I would love to learn to paper curl, but I have a feeling it would be a very time-consuming craft.
